01. Vermiculite Board
For the manufacture of L-WELL BOARD, binder and vermiculite expanded at 800℃ ~ 1,100℃ are used.
Vermiculite
Mica generated by weathering or underground hot water has a hardness of 1-2 and a specific gravity of 2.76. It is a porous modified mineral that is made lightweight by heating at 800 to 900℃ for expansion. It is grayish white or brown and has a pearly luster. It is an eco-friendly industrial material that is lightweight and exhibits excellence when it comes flame resistance, heat insulation, water absorption, breathability, and drainage.
Perlite
Perlite (volcanic stone) is expanded to about 12 times its original volume, during which each grain gets filled with numerous tiny cells and disinfected. These snow-white grains have countless pores, and this is apparent on the surface. Due to this characteristic, it is functional in the same way as activated carbon. Perlite is aseptic and is used as an advanced eco-friendly material known for its lightweight, insulating, sound-absorbing, breathable, and non-toxic properties.
Binder
It is a 100% inorganic material that does not contain organic matter and is harmless to the human body and environment. It is an optimal binder with the exceptional functional performance (non-combustible, deodorization, antibacterial, humidity control) of lightweight porous stones, and at the same time, it is easy to work with like a solid material.
